Temporary Care Assistance Program

Offers time-limited care for children in the home of a safe and verified volunteer while parents take care of whatever issues are preventing them from caring adequately for their children (e.g., hospitalizations, rehab, homelessness, etc.). The program is intended to keep families together and keep children out of the foster care system. Parents will always maintain full parental rights, while signing documents that allow host families to care for the children and provide necessary care (e.g., hospitalization in case of emergencies). Parents matched with a family will enter into a relationship with the host family and a family coach while hosting is provided. Background checks are conducted on all host families.
